Stuart

Stuart

Stuart likes to think that he runs the shop single–handed but the girls know different, they just let him think he does.

In an engineering background is where Stuart spent 17 years before being made redundant in 1993. He was then forced to hand over his cheque by wife Lynne and together they set up Arcana-Arcana. He’s so glad now that he did as he was told.

Stuart likes nothing more than an easy life, when he can get it. The odd pint and a game of snooker keeps him happy.

He’s a brilliant D.I.Yer and loves his wood and his power tools.

Hates worms,spiders and telephones.

His specialised subjects in the shop are.. Myth & magic, Land of Dragons, and Discworld.

Lynne-Marie

Lynne-Marie

The real boss. Keeps Stuart happy by agreeing with him but then actually implementing the opposite.

As a carer for many years in many areas, Lynne-Marie has developed a sympathetic nature. Shop design was very important as wheelchair access was a priority. She is known for her warm and sensitive approach to her customers, although can become very assertive when the need arises.

She likes nothing better than pottering around her garden, water colour painting, walking, and listening to classical music, although her diverse collection of CDs is somewhat of an eye-opener.

She loves her cat, getting stuck into a good book or an old movie, and has been known to enjoy the odd glass of wine.

Hates getting up in the morning, ironing, and cheap shoes.

Her specialised areas within the shop include… jewellery, crystals, and gifts for special occasions.

Sarah

Sarah

Sarah has been involved in the shop from the very beginning. At the age of 12 she was more than capable of ordering and displaying stock. Her attitude towards customers has always been very professional and people warm to her very easily.

After finishing her education, she joined Mum and Dad in the shop on a full-time basis and her influence within the shop is now very apparent. She has introduced a younger outlook by bringing in slightly more ‘fashionable’ lines such as body jewellery and hair colours.

Sarah loves listening to her music and going out with friends. Her favourite things are her shoe collection (Mrs Marcos would be green with envy..),her car, and the Charlatans. She loves ‘making lists’.

Hates getting up in the morning (just like her mother), throwing away old shoe boxes, and earwigs.

Her specialised areas in the shop are body jewellery, Storm watches, Bad Taste Bears and Pooh Bear.
